The chosen novel season 5

Have gotten all 5 books. I always catch something I missed in the movie or get a better understanding of the show.

I’ve always loved the novels because they always have that little bit of extra content that expands the story even more.

I love the movies so much. I believe the books will be even better.

Books/episodes pretty much the same, word for word.

I expected the books to be a bit different, but they mostly follow word for word the actual episodes. So not sure if Jerry Jenkins wrote the books or just transcribed what The Chosen writers had already written for the episodes? There is usually a paragraph at the beginning of each chapter that is different but then goes right into word-for-word the same as the Season Episodes. I've seen the episodes several times, so reading the books has been not-so-interesting. If one hasn't seen the episodes, then it would be interesting to read the books FIRST.
